Among the new breeds of Indian writers, he is a one who writes from the perspective of Indian middle-class. A B.Tech. from I.I.T. Kanpur and trained at I.I.M. Ahmedabad, Ajay Mohan Jain has worked with a leading commercial bank where he got the opportunity to see life very closely through various phases and places. The entire revelation was so compelling that he ‘dropped-out’ to pen these down.
He has been writing regularly – mostly on topics of general interest – for various newspapers and periodicals. His articles have appeared in the columns of Femina, Times of India, Economic Times, Hindustan Times, Computers Today, Data Quest, IBA Bulletin and in Hindi Dainik Jagran, Punjab Kesari, Sakhi.
He has three full-length works to his credit – ‘Nothing can be as Crazy…’ and ‘Nothing can be as Crafty…’ in English published by Rupa and ‘Ek Banker Ki Romanchkari Kahani’ in Hindi published by Prabhat Prakshan.
He has also contributed a story to anthology on Kanpur stories ‘Nothing is forgotten’.
Recently, a short social message video ‘Just Think ज़रा सोचिए’ made by him has been adopted by Ministry Of Urban Development GOI for promoting Swachh Bharat message on their social media pages.
He lives with his wife Sindhu, and divides his time at Mumbai and Kanpur. He has as multifarious and diverse interests as his professional background.
